Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), Mr Tan Kiat How, speaking at NHG Health’s 10th Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) Innovate Conference on 2 July 2026.
Major healthcare applications operated by Singapore's three public healthcare clusters and the Ministry of Health will be unified by the end of November this year. Thereafter, the public will only need to use the enhanced HealthHub to access their personal health records, book medical appointments, pay bills, and manage medications, making digital healthcare services more convenient and seamless.
Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and for Health, Mr Tan Kiat How, announced this on Thursday (2 July) at the CHI Innovate Conference held by NHG Health.
According to a joint release issued by Singapore's national healthtech agency Synapxe and the three public healthcare clusters — SingHealth, NHG Health, and NUHS — the applications to be unified include SingHealth's Health Buddy, NHG Health, NUHS App, and HealthHub (which is developed and managed by Synapxe). All of these applications will be unified under the enhanced HealthHub.
All public healthcare cluster-specific apps will fully transition to HealthHub by November 2026 and will be progressively decommissioned by February 2027. During the transition period from now, existing healthcare apps and the enhanced HealthHub will operate concurrently, giving users sufficient time to switch over to the enhanced HealthHub.
The release noted that feedback from residents and healthcare professionals revealed a growing preference for a more simplified way to manage their healthcare digitally. The enhanced HealthHub reflects this collective feedback and create a more intuitive user experience. At the same time, support will be available to help seniors and those who are less digitally savvy, transition smoothly.
Further details about the launch date, new features and capabilities of the enhanced HealthHub app will be announced at a later date.
Tan Kiat How: Unification of Applications Will Make It Easier for Singaporeans to Participate in Their Healthcare
Speaking at the event, Tan Kiat How noted that many Singaporeans still navigate different healthcare applications, different logins and different ways of accessing care. There remains room for improvement, and that is why the Government is undertaking this unification effort.
He said: “At one level, this is about making digital services simpler. But I believe it is about something much more important. It is about making healthcare easier to understand. Easier to navigate. Easier to participate in. Because when people better understand their own health, they make better decisions. When caregivers have better information, they become stronger partners in care. When patients are more confident, healthcare becomes something we build together. Not something that is simply delivered to them.”
The event also presented the 10th National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity (HIP) Awards, recognising leading innovation projects within the healthcare system. Among them was Note Buddy: Ambient AI Scribe, a generative AI documentation tool developed by SingHealth. The tool can automatically transcribe the content during consultations into multiple languages and dialects.
