Synapxe, in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), launched Singapore’s first healthtech co-innovation lab at its inaugural HealthX Startup Day yesterday. This new lab will provide resources for those who put forward ideas relating to healthtech innovations, allowing them to utilise Amazon’s cloud technology as well as Synapxe’s industry knowledge and platform to experiment with new technologies such as facial recognition. Speaking at the event, SMS Janil Putherchaery emphasised that the co-lab would accelerate entrepreneurs' ability to test, develop, design, and adapt their ideas with guidance from healthtech experts. Synapxe’s Director of Innovation Capabilities Enablement (ICE), Glenn Neo, also added that innovation projects in the field of healthtech never ends and that the field is full potential. The event saw 59 proposals from 50 startup companies answering ‘Calls-for-Innovation’ to enhance the productivity of healthcare providers.
