Google launches 5,000 scholarships worth $3m

Google announced the launch of a scholarship programme to help Singaporeans acquire in-demand skills via their Google Career Certificate courses. Launched by DPM Heng Swee Keat on 12 Jan 2022, the scholarship covers courses in four areas: information technology support, project management, data analytics and user experience design. IHiS is one of 17 employers in a consortium unveiled by Google to connect graduates from Skills Ignition SG with employers who have a need for qualified candidates in these fields.
