Speaking at Think Singapore, an annual conference by IBM, on Thursday 14 Sep, Andy Ta, Director of Data aNalytics & Ai-DNA Management, Synapxe, shared the organisation’s strategies for AI. He said that while AI or any technology is a tool that serves the goals of each organisation, AI used in healthcare aims to improve people's medical experience and health. An example quoted is Healthier SG plan that requires a large amount of data analytics. One of the AI projects by Synapxe, SELENA+, can promptly assess whether patients are at risk of visual impairment due to diabetes. He also added that Synapxe is in discussions with IBM to use Watsonx to create an omnichannel hyper-personalised portal to help the Singapore population.
