Gary Low, Deputy Director of Legal, was awarded the NTUC May Day Awards 2023. The award recognises union leaders, tripartite partners, and model workers who have significantly contributed to improving workers' wages, welfare and work prospects.
Gary has been a volunteer with the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) since 2015. As Chairperson of the Consumer Products, Standards and Testing Committee, Gary led testing on widely used consumer products to ensure goods on the market are safe for use, and raised awareness on how shoppers can take care of themselves. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided valuable input as a Member of the CASE Central Committee to pivot and focus on issues of digital and e-commerce. Since 2021, he has served as CASE’s Honorary Treasurer and member of its Endowment Fund, raising funds to enable evermore consumer outreach efforts. Gary’s exceptional performance as a CASE volunteer has made him a valuable asset and a role model for others.
